Jewelry making question...?
Hello, I've been thinking about making a pendant to put on one of my chains but i have no idea what the term is called. The best i can describe it is to put a small image behind a clear glass bead. The bottom of the bead is usually flat but the top is slightly rounded so that the image also becomes rounded and appears to becoming from inside the bead. Boy i hope this makes sense. Well if anyone knows what im talking about can they please let me know what its called and if there's a website that can tell me how to do it? Thank you so much.
Those are usually made with half-round glass shapes (hemispheres) (or more rectangular "pebbles") from a craft store, usually in the floral dept.
They usually use E-6000 glue to hold the images on the back of the glass shapes since it's fairly strong on glass, and clear when dry. You might be able to get away with a "white glue" if you get a strong one, and if the object won't be subjected to too much stress.

To make them into a pendant though would be harder than a magnet or a pin. You could use solder or you could glue something on the back that had a loop at the top you could use for hanging, for instance, or check out some of these possibilities:
